Day 1: Addis Ababa – Entoto Natural Park
Arrival in Addis Ababa and transfer to your hotel. Explore Entoto Hills for endemic species such as the Black-winged Lovebird and Abyssinian Slaty Flycatcher. Optional birding at Addis Ababa Riverside or nearby lakes. Overnight in Addis Ababa.
Days 2–3: Awash National Park
Drive east to Awash National Park, Ethiopia’s premier birding destination. Explore acacia woodlands and riverine forests to spot species like Carmine Bee-eaters, Somali Ostrich, and Gabar Goshawk. Optional visit to the Awash River Gorge and Filwoha Hot Springs. Overnight at a lodge in or near the park.
