Itinerary

Day 1: Addis Ababa → Jimma

Fly from Addis Ababa to Jimma. Explore the city with visits to the Jimma Museum and the historic Abba Jifar Palace to learn about the region’s cultural heritage. Participate in a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony and experience the local coffee culture at cafés and street corners. Enjoy the warmth and hospitality of the city before overnight stay at a hotel in Jimma.

Day 2: Jimma → Bonga (Kaffa Region)

Drive to Bonga, the birthplace of coffee. Visit a local coffee plantation and participate in a traditional coffee ceremony in a Kaffa village. Learn about coffee origins, hear local legends, and observe the roasting and brewing process. In the afternoon, explore the natural beauty of the area with a trek to Adiyo Falls, Dadiben Hot Springs, and Gora Hot Springs. Overnight stay at a lodge in Kaffa.

Day 3: Bonga → Jimma → Addis Ababa

Enjoy a morning hike or horseback ride in the coffee forests. Discover wild coffee trees and the legendary Mother Coffee Tree, believed to be the oldest in the region. Return to Bonga for lunch, then drive back to Jimma to catch your flight to Addis Ababa. End of tour.
